When Things Go Wrong

When Things Go Wrong

Even with the best planning, weddings have a mind of their own. The weather shifts, the car breaks down, an Uber full of guests ends up at the wrong venue, the groom’s trousers split, or the cake takes a tumble.

It happens — and it’s fine!

If plans change, I’m flexible with timing and date rearrangements. If someone needs calming, stitching, or moral support, I’m your girl (and I know a good tailor – I’m not a nurse).

Your ceremony will be imperfectly perfect — and that’s what makes it memorable. The way you handle the wobbles sets the tone. Your guests take their cue from you.

They’ll remember your smiles, your laughter. It’s that energy that makes it unforgettable, and the best stories always come from the moments you couldn’t plan.

When Things Go Wrong

Sarah wasn't actually our original celebrant, she stepped in after our celebrant had an unexpected emergency a week or so before our wedding. Sarah was wonderful, extremely organised and took time to get to know us as a couple. This really made the ceremony personal and special. She made us feel so relaxed and our guests were saying the ceremony was absolutely beautiful.
I cannot speak more highly of Sarah's style and professionalism, if you're getting married in the area I'd thoroughly recommend contacting her!

Perfection isn’t the goal — presence is

So breathe, smile, and let it be what it is — it will be amazing!
No amount of planning can protect you from every little hiccup — its just part of what makes a wedding real.
The best stories come from the imperfect bits: the wind catching your veil, the last-minute dash for safety pins, the spontaneous mountain mist that made your photos look ethereal.

Whatever the Weather

Queenstown has a wild streak, and part of the magic is rolling with whatever it throws at us.
If the skies open, I’ll stand there with you — umbrella in hand, steady voice, keeping it real. We love clear blue skies but when the moody skies appear the photographers get excited and you look epic against the backdrop.

Sarah Noble Marriage Celebrant

Sarah was an incredible celebrant. She made sure our ceremony was exactly as we wanted, thoughtfully combining cultural and personal elements. She remained calm and professional throughout — during the rehearsals, when the weather turned unexpectedly, and even when we sent her our vows just 12 hours before the wedding! She still managed to have them beautifully printed in time. We would highly recommend Sarah for your wedding.
